2005 Atlantic Power Outage 

The Atlantic Power Outage of 2005 caused hundreds of thousands of people along the Atlantic coast of the United States to suffer power outages. Winter ice storms caused power cuts starting on December 15, 2005.[1]

Electricity was not restored in many places until December 20, 2005, by which time one death was blamed on the outage.[2]
